White Rose Transmission (line-up 2009/2011)
Alternative - Indie
Between 2009 and 2013, Frank Weyzig contributed as a producer and band member to White Rose Transmission. (WRT).
Initially formed in 1995 by Carlo van Putten, then vocalist of The Convent and Adrian Borland, iconic frontman of 80s English band The Sound, White Rose Transmission collaborated with artists like Marty Wilson Piper (The Church), Mark Burgess (The Chameleons), and Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), leading to the creation of two remarkable albums.
Tragically, the sudden loss of co-founder Adrian Borland in 1999 brought WRT to a halt until 2006, when Carlo, joined by his friend Rob Keijzer, resurrected the project for the third album, “Bewitched and Bewildered.”
The revitalization surged in 2009 with Frank Weyzig’s addition to WRT. His multifaceted roles as a co-writer, producer, and band member significantly influenced the shaping of the fourth album, “Spiders in the Mind Web.”
Following the album’s 2010 release, White Rose Transmission graced stages across Germany, delivering captivating live performances. Among these, a notable performance at ‘Gallerie Message’ in Monchengladbach was immortalized in the vibrant live album, “Spinning Webs at Night.”
